New Level With God Requires God’s Oxygen

I wanted share my experience of what I heard when I was in prayer at my church the beginning of this year.  I keep hearing this in my spirit, but it’s now time to share it.  I heard the Spirit of God say, a new level He was going to take us to.  It’s a new level for us spiritually, physically and financially.  To get to that new level, [similar to when you get to a new level of a video game], you have to be equipped with new skills, and new weapons.  The reason is you will face new enemies.  You won’t be able to defeat them with your old ways of doing things, but it will require the “new”.

To get to that new level that God has for us requires us to learn to breathe God’s oxygen (God’s breath).

Breath and Oxygen
Airplane

Just like when you are in an airplane that is taking off, it ascends up into the sky.  Our airs pop as we continue upwards because of the air pressure. Airplanes usually fly at 30,000 feet.  At that height, they have to pressurize the cabin so we don’t pass out for lack of air.  If they fly lower like around 10,000 feet, they don’t have to pressurize the cabin.  As airplanes ascend higher into the sky, they pump air or oxygen into the cabin space to pressurize it.  You see, we need more oxygen when we get to higher elevations (new levels).

Mountain

When you climb a mountain, as you progress up the mountain, the air gets thinner at higher altitudes and it gets harder to breathe.  Within seconds of exposure to high altitude, ventilation is increased, meaning we start trying to breathe more, as the body responds to less oxygen in each breath, and attempts to increase oxygen uptake.  Despite this response, there’s still less oxygen throughout your circulatory system, meaning less oxygen reaches your muscles.  This will obviously limit exercise performance.

Within the first few hours of altitude exposure, water loss also increases, which can result in dehydration.  Do you notice when you fly on airplanes, you feel very thirsty? It’s the altitude.

At these higher altitudes (new levels), we have to learn to breathe, to adjust to breathing the breath of God and not our own breath.  We have to drink more water so we don’t get dehydrated.

New Spiritual Levels

Through God’s prophets, God said He is going to do a NEW thing this year, and it will be supernatural.  He wants to take us to a new level in which we will encounter enemies we have never seen before.  It requires that we are equipped with new weapons.  We can only do this by going to new levels with God.  We have to learn to breathe God’s oxygen (the breath of life). We have to learn to function in the supernatural (spiritual) realm, and not the natural realm.

It’s time for God’s miracles, signs and wonders.  And God will use His vessels that are willing to go to new levels.

3 Requirements To Get To That New Level

Are you willing to go to that new level God wants to take you?  It requires your time with God.  You can’t do things the old way anymore.  It requires a new way, a new thing that God wants to do in your life.

“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19 NKJV)

To reach that new level requires 3 things:
1 – Breathe God’s oxygen or breath by reading God’s word.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV)

Here is another bible translation which makes it more clear:
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
(2 Timothy 3:16 NIV)

Inspiration of God means ‘God breathed’.  The scriptures or the word of God is from the breath of God.  That shows the importance of reading God’s word every day.  I am not talking about reading just a daily devotional, or a Psalm.  I am talking about reading, and studying God’s word.  God speaks to us through His word.  Think of it this way.  God is breathing on us when we read His word.  Life is in the word of God.  There are times when I read the bible, and certain verses just jump out at me. Some verses may remind me of other scriptures.  The Holy Spirit will give you revelation of the scriptures and see things you never saw before.  God is looking for us to breathe new in order to step into the new level.

2 – Spending more time with the Holy Spirit.  Below are scriptures on the Holy Spirit and explains why we need to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit.

* Jesus said He would send a Helper, or Comforter, the Spirit of truth who is the Holy Spirit.

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever– “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16-17 NKJV)

* Jesus breathed on the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit.

“When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:20-22 NKJV)

* When the disciples were in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in an unknown tongue.

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4 NKJV)

3 – Pray and Praise

We have to put on the whole armor of God every day by praying God’s word.  God speaks of the armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-18.  The reason is we don’t fight against flesh and blood, but against spiritual things (principalities and powers of darkness).  This is more prevalent nowadays than ever before.  You can’t defeat this enemy with your physical strength and abilities.  You need to operate in the supernatural power of God by praying and speaking God’s word.

Verse 18 states the importance of prayer.  “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” (Eph 6:18 NLT)

There are two great examples in God’s word that shows the importance of praise.  When we praise God, the bible says He inhabits or abides in the praise of His people in Psalm 22:3.  That means God’s presence is there when we praise Him.  When we praise God, we actually attack the enemy by surprise according to  2 Chronicles 20:22.  The enemy destroys themselves from within when we praise God.

What we are seeing and experiencing is a battle in the spirit realm that is now manifesting in the physical realm.  The enemy knows the importance of praise to God.  Do we?  So it’s time to remove that spiritual and physical mask and start praising God.  Don’t look at what you see going on around you and have that dictate whether you praise God or not.  Just lift up your hands and praise Him.  God abides in the midst of praise.  The power of God is released when we praise Him!

When we get to the new level that God wants to take us, we are going to see, hear and experience things we have never seen before.  We will see and experience the supernatural power of God, miracles, healings and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Keep your focus on Jesus and take a deep breath.  Let faith fill your lungs, and let the praises of God come out of your mouth.  Follow the 3 things to reach that new level with God:

  1. Spend time in the word of God (life is in the word)
  2. Spend time with Holy Spirit
  3. Spend time in prayer and praise God no matter what

Get ready to go to a new level with God!
