In 2020, we experienced many things that we have never seen before. We had a mandate for us to wear masks to protect the spread of the virus, and to socially distance of 6 feet or more. We are now seeing in 2021 that there may be a federal mandate that we have to wear a mask under this new administration. We also see the social media censoring certain platforms, groups and people.

Why?

What does this all add up to? We the people are being silenced. What you see going on in the world is also what is going on in the spirit world. The enemy wants to silence God’s people. They want to silence us with masks and with social media. The enemy knows what the bible says about the power of the spoken word.

Spoken Word Bible Verses

“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” Genesis 1:3 (NKJV)
God showed the power of the spoken word in the first book of the bible, Genesis in the first chapter and third verse. God said (commanded, spoke) for light to be created and it came to be.

“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” (Mark 4:39, NKJV)

Jesus spoke to the wind and sea, and they obeyed Him. That’s the power Jesus had and those who knows Jesus, we have that same power and authority. But we must speak it!

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23 (NKJV)

Jesus was speaking in Mark 11:23, and stated you must speak to the mountain (your mountain represents your circumstance or situation you are facing such as financial problems, health problems, etc). He continues to say you must believe the things you say will be done, and you will have what you say.

In the Old testament, God told the prophet Ezekiel to speak to the dry bones to live. It says when Ezekiel spoke, suddenly, there was a rattling noise and the bones came together and came to life. (See Ezekiel 37:3-7) Again, God told Ezekiel to speak!

Power of Praise

The Bible says let everything that has breath praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6 NKJV). God inhabits the praises of His people. (Psalm 22:3 KJV). The enemy wanted to silence our praises to God because he wanted us to be powerless.

Now do you understand that the mask mandate that is going on in this natural world, that in the spirit world the enemy is mandating we wear a spiritual mask to silence our praises to God. The enemy knows the importance and power of the spoken word and praise.

Summary

It’s time to remove that spiritual mask of silence and start speaking things into existence and praising God. Don’t look at what you see going on around you (a storm, a mountain blocking your way), and don’t let that dictate what you speak and whether you praise God or not. As the bible verses say above, with our spoken words, we have the power to create, the power over winds and seas, the power to move mountains to go into the sea, the power for dry dead bones to come together and live! We have power when we open our mouth and speak it into existence and praise God!
