What’s the “Good Word”? Proverbs 12:25

Word for the Day:  What’s the “Good Word”?

“Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.” (Pro 12:25 NKJV)

What’s in your heart?  Is it worried, glad, sad, mad?

The bible says in Proverbs 23:7, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  So what’s the “good word” that will make your heart glad?  That “good word” is the word of God.

  • If you are worried or anxious, the “good word” says that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • If you are sad, the “good word” says, God will turn your sadness into dancing, and clothe you with joy. (Psalm 30:11)
  • If you are mad, the “good word” says, be slow to anger and you will have great understanding. (Proverbs 14:29)
  • If you are glad, the “good word” says, this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

God said we should cast all our care unto Him, for He cares for us according to 1 Peter 5:7.  Whatever that “care” is, give it to God.  Whatever is in your heart, give it to God.  That’s the “good word”.

You must start seeing the “good word” working in your life.  You must start speaking the “good word.”

  • If you need a miracle in your body, the “good word” says”, by Jesus’s wounds, I was healed, in Jesus name!”, according to 1 Peter 2:24.
The “good word” says that Jesus has given me life more abundantly, according to John 10:10.
  • If you need a miracle in your finances, the “good word ” says, I will make your way prosperous and you shall have good success, according to Joshua 1:8.
  • If you need a miracle in your spiritual life (a change in your life), the “good word” says, if you confess Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, according to Romans 10:9.

The “good word” is living and powerful.  The person that reveals the “good word” to us is the Holy Spirit.  Let the “good word” be real to you and it will speak to you, and you will see a change in your life.  You will see the results in your life of that “good word” spoken.

At my church, a brother in Christ would always greet me by saying, “so tell me, what’s the good word”?  So I ask you, what’s the “good word”?
